deckgun use in bad weather fix?

Isaw the fix here but it didn't work Maybe i didn't do it rite. Now i can't find it HELP!... Ihad to run over the fishingboat and watched it burn and sink. I didn't get anything for it "The beatings will continue untill the morale improves" :arrgh!:
