How do I rack up some tons?

Hi all,

I'm new and I've been playing with some mods including the crew viatmins mod. I'd love some recommendations on how to rack up some tons by finding convoys more consistently and capital ships at sea. Also, if you could recommend mods to me. I'm looking for things to make the game less micromanagement based and more fun not necessarily more realistic. I'd love to plug in Real U-Boat, but I don't know how to turn some features off (e.g. I'm totally happy with an unrealistically high number of convoys). Need to get rid of the uber destroyers though.

When I first started playing I mostly just chased single contacts and ended up with plenty of tonnage. Don't waste torps on small or agile ships, eg, fishing boats, destroyers.

I recommend RuB and SH3Commander for mods (as well as graphics mods of your choosing), dont forget UnRealUBoat - it changes some of RUBs features you dont like to default.
And JSGME mod enabler is very important :know:
