Help for SH2 high res mod setup

I want to install the subsim high res mod on my Silent Hunter 2 (german version), but I get an error message:

Visual Basic 5.0 Setup Toolkit
------------------------------------
Run-time error '52':
Bad file name or number

Then the setup-program for the mod exists. :-?
I have installed my sh2 in the default directory.
Any ideas anyone?

Never seen that error before. Possibly some of your VB routines are corrupted? :hmm: You can download visual basic 5.0 for Windows from Microsoft, I think...try that and see what happens :up:

Ok. I have done as you told, but I still get exact the same error-massage... :cry:

Try chaning your regional settings in Windows control panel to US english and installing then. (Revert later to your original regional settings) :hmm:

Is it possible that you downloaded a corrupt mod? If any of the files in the temporary folder of the install is corrupt, it might stop the whole installation process :damn:

Thank you for your patience. Chaning regional settings also helped not. The file seems to be ok. I run it on an other computer and it has all functioned. What not funtioned was then to just copy the installed files on my computer. I could start the config-programm and chose 1024, but it the game it was still 800x600 and on the in-programm settings screen there appeared no 1024.
But anyway - I have now installed so many other mods and especialy the Historical Das Boot Periscope Screen with Switchable Views :up: which seems to exists only in 800x600. So even when the 1024 resolution would work, I would stay with 800 anyway.

No that will never work because the installer puts some files in your Windows/System folder and some new entries in the Windows registry.
