How long does your campaign take?

I have had SH3 for about a month now, playing just about every night until the wee hours, and I have not yet reached Dec. '41 in my first campaign. I am currently on patrol 21 in Oct. '41 in a VIIB. I have been trying to speed up each patrol, but I refuse to go back to base with a few eels left. I can just about get one patrol done each night (~4 hours playing time). How does this compare with everyone else's experience?

I started my first campaign right after Patch 1.4b and RUB 1.41
came out. (don't remember the date) It was 9/39. It is now
12/40 and I am on Patrol 9. I play quite a bit but spend more
time on be cautious and patroling carefully in hot spots. Each patrol has lasted about 1 month with a month off in port between them....

huh my patrols only last a week.I go to the assiged area use up all torps (save 1) then back to port.

Using subcomannder rarley more than 5 missions :|\

I'm using Rub+Commander and I'm at the begining of 5th patrol. It's march 1940.
