Karl, asked if I objected to PinUps in his Radio Room. I had already given the Hydrophone and other crew members permission so I saw no reason to refuse Karl.

It was only afterwards, that I realised his uncle had been an NSDP member since 33.

Karl has had an accident. He will be greatly missed.

Herman has replaced him and made some minor changes to his new office.

It's 1943 and scuttlebut has it that Herman the replacement Radio Operator whose grandmother was English has doubts about his loyalties.

I called into see him and he assured me of his loyalty to the Fatherland.

However something does not seem right.

Strange that these fellows I know in British Intelligence have some Joe posters, Kim Philby for one. :oops:

All i wanna know is whether or not karl and Herr Roehm where close. Does anyone see an Ernst, Adolf, Karl traingle?

I downloaded the pinup mod from the Real Uboat site. Saw it was just a tga file called druck_radio_7.tga. Chopped out the girlie in Paint shop and dropped Winnie in on top. It has to be very easy because I am very stupid.

Was actually thinking about dropping Stalin or George Bush in.

Didnt consider Ernst Roehm because not sure how many people knew about the Night of the Long knives.

Karl never knew it, but sometimes I would watch him go about his duty. His beautiful blonde hair curling at the back of his neck, his steel blue eyes staring out to sea searching for the enemy.

The Fatherland is proud of Karl. So am I.

I could see it now. Depth Charges are falling. The captain heads to the sonar room. Otto, the sonarman, reports a destroyer. And what does the captain do? He holds Karl's hand.


The last thing i would ever want to see. You really cant escape the captain of a U-boat while at sea. Its like being stuck in the same room with the weird guy you know. For WEEKS AND WEEKS. :o :huh: :stare: :x :mad:

Editing the pin-ups is a fantastic idea! I'll have to give that some thought. I like the idea of a portrait of Stalin, but maybe one that has been edited by the crew in some way, perhaps with a big red clown nose or something like that.

Maybe Hitler dressed in drag, or a woman of Wagnerian proportions... or maybe a sheep with a big bow around its neck. :O:

Like that old joke about the three cowboys riding the range when they see a sheep with its head caught in a fence.

The first cowboy says "I wish that was my wife Doreen"

The second cowboy scoffs and says "I wish that sheep was <insert beautiful actress name here>!"

The third cowboy says quietly "I just wish it was real dark." ;)
