Just finished my first carrer, and by finished I mean was Lost at Sea.
Playing at 100% realism. Ship is depth charged and diesel engines are destroyed. I hit the bottom and am able to control flooding, repair systems, creep off and escape. But when I surfaced, I was dead in the water, since my Diesels were 86'ed. Nothing I can do, so I press ESC and the only option is Abandon Career. Okay, sucks for me, but I select that option.
I had expected some message about how my career was over, or something. However, after selecting this option...I was back in port, still had my crew, still had medals to give out, and still able to go out on patrol, though for whatever reason, I was now stationed in Brest (instead of Wilmhsaven). Is this a glitch? shouldn't I be dead and unable to continue with that Player Profile?
Any insight or advice is welcome.
