Hi all,

Just thought 'd introduce myself. I am an addict to subsims and have been since the start. I mostly play Dangerous Waters as the last in the Nukesims and have played SH 1 and 2, and now 3.
Hope to hear a lot about this sim.

Any list of tips, tricks, mods and musthaves somewhere gathered?

thnx

Hello and welcome. Nice of you to introduce yourself :)

Hope you enjoy these forums - I think they are the best around, with alot of friendly people with lots of knowledge, so just ask!

As for mods and such, what do you like?
Eyecandy?
Realism?
etc

thnx all for the warm welcome.

Well frankly, I'd like them all!!
I am just beginning in SH3 and it is definitely more fun to MOD a game. i have done this with Sub Command, Dangerous Waters, B17-II and other games.
Eye candy or realism, both are more then welcome.
Where can I find them all?

Welcome, herr kaleun!

Mods for this game certainly abound. Take it one step at a time. When you see what all is available your head will probably spin. The work done by the modding community is nothing short of awesome. Before you start modding be sure to make a complete backup of the data folder in the main SH3 directory. Also, for good measure, you could backup the SH3 folder in My Documents as well. I would recommend patching to 1.4b (NOT a beta, just a letter designation) then backing up your SH3 data. Good hunting!
