Anybody have experience with the ship camera going out of synch? For example I can be on patrol and press the equal or greater button and instead of staring at the center of my boat, I will looking at the boat aft, same holds true for when I look at planes attacking my boat.
Is there a way in patrol without having to exit the game to reset the camera so it looks normal?
Thanks.
Yep. I have the same problem. And only way to solve this prob is to reset game. Very annoying bug

I,ve had the same problem. I've narrowed it down to using the camera during a turn. I avoid the issue now by waiting until the rudder is at 0°
before switching to the camera.
It seems to work. I however also seem to forget on occasion.
Hmm, I've had it happen to me a couple of times too. I think it's related to time compression. Normally when I exit TC, I do it either by Backspace, Go to Control Room or Got to Bridge. But on the few occasions where I've seen the problem, I went directly to camera.
Just my 2 cents...

Interesting theory, you could be on to something there.
I also get this all the time. It's either this or the bouncy camera. With the bouncy camera everything is also tilted by 45 degrees or so.

Do you have to come right out of SH3, or is it enough just to save & exit the mission and go back in?
And yes, it's an irritating bug.

Yes, you can just exit the mission and go back in. I still hate doing that, though. :shifty:

The time I had a camera glitch I didnt exit the mission, I shrank it down to the task-bar then opened it again and the glitch was gone.

:o Didn't think to try that. Did you alt-tab? I didn't think this game played nice with alt-tab.

I posted about that in the bugs thread, quite a while back. I'm not sure if I bothered posting the bouncy camera one.
Exit and restart. That's the only thing that works for me, anyway.

On the bridge view, click on the screen to alter the point of view left, right, up or down. Now reset it to center and click off it. This should also reset the ship camera view to center.

I had a funny thing happen when I was using the event camera.
I just shot off a fish at a ship and the event camera kicked in. I pressed "V" to get the full screen shot. It started to do its customary two spins around the torpedo. But before It was done, the view switched to a underwater scene. It wasnt focused on the fish but just sitting there. Just then, I heard a torpedo coming and then ........flash........it zipped right by across the screen. :88) :rotfl:
