And no, I'm not talking about Hitler. :lol: I'm talking about my watch officer, Adolf Carlewitz. Poor chap must have been real lonely. When we returned to Wilhelmshaven after our maiden patrol in U-556, he couldn't take his eyes off the nurses. He was just glued to them. :rotfl:

Glad to hear that good old Adolf is alright. Oberleutant z. S. Adolf Carlewitz was my old watch officer on the U-46, until I recommended him for command of his own boat in July 1940. Never heard much from him after BdU put me in command of a desk. Say hello for me, will you?
