Convoy April 45

On rout to my assigned patrol grid date April 29th 1945 grid AM51 and a convoyey spawned nearly on top of me (8miles sse of me) and the weiredist thing is it was 1 row of ships escorted by 5 flower corvetts this is my 2nd career and it's the first time I have encountered a convoy with all the ships sailing in 1 row the biggest being a T2 then a C2 the rest small merchants.
Is this the norm in 45 never seen a convoy of 15 ships in 1 row.+

April 45. All I can say is either run right now or fire a long range salvo, hope for the best and then run real deep and real quiet. Never made it that far into 1945 yet. No idea about the convoy makeup.
