Hey Guys-A question of ports.

Hi guys, as you can see im new here. Ive just started playing Silent Hunter 3, and i'd have to say, its probably one of the best games ive ever played. Ive started in St. Nazaire in 1941, and im on my second control. Im starting to get the hang of the game, but I have a question. As I said, I started in St. Nazaire in the 7th Flotilla (if I remember correctly) and so I want to know if that was a good choice or if I should change Flotillas.

different flotillas have different bases and boats, 7th (st Nazaire) has VII and type IX boats and stuff. i'd say your in a pretty good flotilla at the moment, either that or transfer to 29 flt. thats in La Spezia (italy)

Oh, thanks. Well, I guess I will stay in St. Nazaire for a while to get experience.

I had transfered to the 29th in Italy. After several patrols I decided to return to the 7th. St Nazaire is one of the easiest ports to get out of, and in a all round good position. I recommend the 7th unless you want to get a typ IX .

I like St. Nazaire because the port is easy to get out of. Brest is ok, but Lorient is a pain in the you-know-what.

Yea Lorient is a dufficult one. Takes for ever just getting out of ther :damn:
