Quick question.

I just pulled off an incredible feat (for me . . . at 54% realism). I snuck into Scapa Flow and found a carrier, two auxilliary cruisers and a ton of destroyers. I sank the carrier and cruisers. I made it out into the open sea but took four KIA and two seriously WIA. My mission goals have not been met. In fact, I'm a few thousand miles from my assigend area. I only have about three torps left and there's blood all over the place and my boat has taken quite a beating. I need to go back to Kiel . . . like, now.

I think I've done enough for a Knights Cross on this mission and I've got four sad letters to write, but will my campaign suffer by not reaching/patrolling my assigned area?
