Before I get kicked off this site, I decided to throw all my money in..
Just like to point out that "Hitler" had a name. He was Adolf Hitler, born April the 20th 1889. Just like anyone else. He was also a family member to some. What annoys me the most is how you rubbish "Hitler" and yet song and dance about even more 'evil' countries like China and Russia who executed more
Chinese executed over 40,000,000
Russia executed over 20, 000,000
This was before WW2 remember, them the facts!!!

i can remember back to 1999 when me and my stepfather was in bosnia there were some terrible sights and i mean terrible
we passed through this little village not far from banja luka and there wasnt a building left standing over 3,000 people used to live in that village untill the serb tanks rolled right through it they estimated only 23 got away that sort of masacre is totaly wrong :nope:
i visited some very dire places including macedonia serbia latvia estonia bosnia ect most are decent places its just some parts i know in latvia the bomb squad is called out nearly three times a day every day but the situation in most of the ex soviet republics is starting to improve little by little and its going to be a long time before any major improvment is seen

I fifth that, and more important, CCIP went back on topic with the remark how that made Adolf Hitler any better.
I really don't understand Damo1977.
Recently he managed to get two threads closed in as many days.
Then he is making a funny/weird attempt to save his skin by starting a poll whether or not he should be allowed to stay.
Now Before I get kicked off this site, I decided to throw all my money in.. he obviously doesn't see a future on this site for himself.
And after reading the 'content' of his posting

What annoys me the most is how you rubbish "Hitler" and yet song and dance about even more 'evil' countries like China and Russia who executed more, a weird 'protest' against 'us' unfairly rubbishing poor Adolf, I fully agree with Damo1977.
He has no future here and really should leave...
Adolf H. also tried a career attempt as an artist before he made the decision to become evil dictator.

must say he was a good painter
Anyone had read the the book "kiss kiss" by Roald Dahl?
It contains some nice short stories, and one is about the dramatic and difficult birth of a baby.
The story is called "genesis and catastrophe"
Someone here knows this story? ;)

Concerning Hitler's art.....I wish I could go back to the Vienna Academy of Art and tell them.....
"You really should accept this student! Doing this will prevent the slaughter of millions, let alone te annexation of your country."
I wonder if any of the faculty were still around once Hitler took power, and if Hitler did anything about them...
Well, perhaps he still would have gone down his destructive path, but I'm in the arts, and my bet is that, if he would been given just a sliver of success, he may have been able to satisfy his needs through his art....I mean, there have certainly been plenty examples of those who are in the creative arts (Richard Wagner just to name one) who had very outspoken opinions, but were not personally responsible for the death of millions....

I agree with you, stljeffbb1 (had to copy&paste that nick) :P
but it´s possible that saving Adolfs soul trough the art or st else would had made things even worser...
What if they´ve had found another "Leader"?
Maybe someone with better military skills?
Or someone who´d had made the decision to use chemical weapons? Hitler never ordered the use of C weapons (germany had great stores of chemicals), maybe cause of his memories from WW1...

Hi Gammel....yeah....who is to say.....Germans definately resented (in general) the post WWI treatment, and chances are, someone would have gained power who would have "revived German nationalism" no matter what....
I know its a game, but I had an interesting experience playing Hearts of Iron II....I played as a "kinder, gentler Hitler," not annexing Austria, Czech, etc....I managed to get Austria, Poland, and some other Easterns to ally with me (Yugoslavia too!)...it was a lot like WWI again.....maybe that would have happened :hmm:

ive seen duchow and that was enough thanks auswitz well im ok thankyou but yeah damo please do see these places
and if you realy feel up to it start doing the goose step in the middle of berlin shouting hiel hitler at the top of your lungs
I'd like to go visit these places sometime too. Might be quite the eye-opener.
But I didn't even have to go that far. Even the Piskarev cemetery in Petersburg/Leningrad was enough for me - gives me the shivers even thinking that there, on something the size of a couple of football fields, 600,000 people are buried, most of whom died by starvation inside their own homes.
Can't say Adi didn't have anything to do with that :shifty:
Did you know that many high NSDAP members and even the leaders
of concentration camps (who did shooting exercises on prisoners for fun, those bastards)
where perfect fathers and family men?
And there is something else i want to throw in here: *provokation mode on*
The PERSON A. Hitler did not harm a single man or woman in his whole live
(maybe he did in his duty as a soldier in WW1 but not in civil live)
Think a minute about that before becoming angry.
It´s a fact.
He was harmless and some kind of sensible in his private live.
He loved children. He was vegetarian, he loved animals.
Some people are believing he was tending to homosexualism.
Also fact is that his duty as leader of the third reich lead to dead and doom of nearly 100 million individuals.
Please don´t get me wrong, i raise my hat for every victom of the years 1933-45
and for every victom of any other dictatorship of mankind.

Yep, and I have seen how he smiled at Eva Braum and caressed his dog.
On Nazi propaganda movies.
And he loved to receive flowers from little childeren.
On Nazi propaganda movies.
Although I love history, Herr Hitler is not my favorite subject.
There are enough thorough historic studies about Adolf Hitler and if anyone wants to debate them in a serious way on this forum, that's fine.
But we have to keep in mind that there are still a lot of people suffering trauma's from a war that was caused by this guy, and even more second generation victims.
Therefor I would urge 'amateur historians' who pop up on this forum every now and then, to respect the sensitivities of others and not use Hitler as a subject to show off their 'provocative mode'.
Nazi leaders were infamous for misuse of alcohol, drugs (Göring), hidden homosexuality, adultery, utter corruption and were certainly not shining examples of high moral standing.
It may be utterly important for nitwits to remark that Hitler always groomed his fingernails or walked his dog twice a day or whatever. But I am disgusted by whomever remarks on this forum how good a privat person Hitler actually was, given the weight of historic evidence to the contrary.
Such threads should be closed.

why dont we just leave this post to rot instead of wasteing our time
let it rot like its owner
Hello Neal,
perhaps you got me wrong.
I didn´t sayed those concentration camp leaders and A. Hitler were fine man.
There were pure human waste, of course.
But the perversion is that it´s true that just those sadistic persons behaved total different in their private life.
Maybe i shouldn´t post any further in such hot topics, my language skills are to bad for this kind of debate.
But please believe one thing: I´m far away from any nazi simpatisation and this ideology is not tolerated by me (i tolerate nearly everything in general)
greeting from germany...ouch... :-j

:) Damo1977 You have a point. Well done. People I've talked to from over in Russia say that it was actually closer to 30 million people that Stalin executed. This makes Stalin by far the number one executioner in the world, not Hitler. Erich Topp U-552

What page did you guys have to go to in order to dig up this thread?
And how does that contribute to the discussion.
Again, Skybird's questions and others' comments have pretty much said everything about this whole thing... nor was anyone in any doubt to begin with, I think.

Yep, especially on Adolf Hitler. There are few shades of ink black, really.
The absence of humour in a dictatorship makes it easy to make jokes about it.

Hitler was completely mad, and there is no doubt about it. He was a psychopat and I enjoyed reading some years ago a very interesting book written by one of our most eminent psychiatres, Dr. Vallejo Nagera, about some historic "egregious mads". The study included :
Maquiavelo.
Abderraman III.
Hugo Van Der Goes.
Doña Juana La Loca.
Benvenuto Cellini.
Leone Leoni y Pietro Arentino.
Caravaggio.
Farinelli.
Caffarelli.
Schikanader y Mozart.
Goya.
Schumann y Lizt.
Van Gogh.
Rusiñol.
Nijisky.
Hitler.
Rudolf Hess.
Leonardo Da Vinci.
and some american presidents (No joke  )
, and was done in an attempt to determine what a psychiater would have determined that those guys suffered, given all details we know about the. Check if it is available in your language, I can promise you that the reading is really enjoyable.
Now as for the drugs, it seems that Hitler's personal medic gave him certain experimental drugs (Can't remember exactly which) that had the effect of increasing exponentially his changes of humour: From relatively happy to furious, and also multiplied his anger when furious.
Add that to an already psychopatic character and you get a good picture of how it looked like in the last years of the war :hulk:
Im better painter
