I was heading to my assigned patrol zone BF15 west of England via the English channel. The weather was atrocious all the way, it was pouring rain and the seas were large. I asked for a weather report, and got this: Precipitation None, Fog, Heavy, Wind Speed 17 mts per second.
Has anyone else experianced this ?

Also I came across my first convoy and the atrocious weather was just great, I sailed at full speed and got ahead of the convoy without the escorts or the merchants detecting me, I saw two fat tankers that I just had to have and linded up a shot but first I took out two freighters looked good at night as they blew up. I fired a fish at one of the tankers and scored a hit (while this was going on the escorts were dropping cans in the wrong area) but the blighter didn't sink, just slowed down further, the other tankre was now just 485mt away and let go with another fish, impack, but he did not go down, I put another in to him and still he stayed afloat, but about 10 minutes later he rolled on to his side and slipped under.
At first sight of the convoy I sent a cintact report time was 22:38, at 02:37 I recieved a reply from BDU saying thanks for the info, is it normal for that kind of time delay ?

Cheers guys.

17m/s!? Wow, I haven“t seen winds go over 15m/s for me.

And yes the time delay is pretty much normal. Usually when I sent status report, it takes 2-3hrs for BdU to answer it.
