New PC has been ordered, hopefully I will be able to play this weekend. I have been trying to follow developments, mods etc., but the amount of info is quite large. There is enough to keep me busy for a while trying to get up to date. A couple questions to get me started.......
If I use the RUB mods, do I need to install them progressively or will installing the latest one include all modifications?
If I run into an issue with starforce such as slower burning times of cd's, will the SF removal tool eliminate the problem?
Any other advice, opinions for game play are welcomed.

The latest one includes everything. But you need to install SH3 patch 1.4b before RUb 1.43.

There´s a 99% chance that it does. But of course it´s only a temporary solution, the next time you start SH3 Starforce reinstalls itself.

If there´s anything you don´t like about RUb, for example the missing map updates, you should get Unreal Uboot, an "unmod" for RUb:

Thanks for the info! PC will take a little longer to arrive than I hoped, probably middle of next week. I have waited this long, a few more days won't matter. :damn:

Welcome to SH3 lafeeverted. I think you will find this SH3
campaign very interesting and way above SH2. Be sure to
install the 1.4b patch first and make sure it is the right version
for your copy of SH3. I would then recommend installing the
RUB 1.43 which will give you the worldly realistic feeling doing
the campaign. Any other small personal mods after. I think
you will like the patrols during the campaign. They start easy
and get harder each year. (the way it should be)
