Snorkel date?

Anyone know at what point in the war snorkels became available? And were they available on the V11C? In my last career, I upgraded boats at every opportunity and I think I got a snorkel in early 1942. However, this time I'm sticking with the V11C and I'm in March 1942 and no snorkel offer yet.

Hallo, the schnorkel began beeing install in u-boat's during the winter og 1943/44. The first's initial tests were in August 1943.
Only in the begining of 1944 that the schnorkel should be fitted as a priority to the operational boats.
