Ah yes BdU told me to go to grid CA85 and I said 'Yeah right'

So I was looking for something juicy. Oh Ho is that Liverpool I see with no one to guard it ? Oh big deal a Brit PT boat ( Elco ?? ) and a Armed Trawler. The Elco was goofing off going around in large circles and the trawler was fishing instead of patroling ( at least it looked that way.)

PD all the way from about 600m from the rivers mouth to right in the middle of the harbor and nothing but a fishing boat going back and forth up and down the river at 8 kts.

This looks promising. :yep:

Oh lookie here the big bad wolf is away after all and there are three good size sheep in their pens............er ships in their docks. :)

Now if I can just slip by this fisherman.

Ah here we are.

And there is sleeping beauty.

Oh did I wake you up ? Gee I'm sorry. :arrgh!:

Now I lay me down to sleep. :dead:

Then I turned around ( with the attack scope ) and there was this lusious C2 just waiting to be plucked.

I'll bet thats gonna hurt.
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y116/oleman/rightinthegut.jpg

Underwater fireworks.

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y116/oleman/Neonfish.jpg

I hit this C2 eight more times and later surfaced and hit it with
All my ammo and she still did not sink. :damn:

There was one more T2 Tanker in its bearth and I put my last four fish under her belly and she either would not sink, both just burned.

I took about a four days to get back to 'Lorient' and still no report on either the T2 or C2 sinking. :damn: What a waste of torps and ammo.

But I did get the first T2......Yeah..as my crew said.

I sliped out of 'Liverpool' just as easy as I came in and wouldn't you know it, there was TWO convoys at two different angles ( one off to the NW and the other to the SW of the mouth of 'Liverpools' river ( don't know name of river ).

Of course I was out of everything and had to get as far out of their way as possible.

Gee was I glad to get back to port. ;)

P.S. I'm useing "Harbour traffic 1.44 and 1.45 along with a few other small modes, so these Brit ships in Liverpool harbor were the doing of the SH3 devs I guess for Rubini did not make any AI ships for the enemy harbors, at least I don't think he did ?

Anyway it was a good but SLOW trip @ 1 and 4 TC up and down the river.

Hey it looks like that C-2's stern is aground in the concrete. Maybe thats why it wouldn't sink, or, you have been taken by a DECOY!

We need to get you the U-minelayer mod so you can stitch up harbors with magnetic mines, hide and watch the fun.

I was wondering if the Harbour mod puts more ships in the enemy harbours as well.

I have played this game since day 1, and only once have i seen a battleship. I came across this armada of 2 battleships, 8 destroyers. I had a go at one of the battleships, but this was along time ago and i was a lot less experienced.

Cool pics!

As far as I know the harbour traffic mod only adds traffic in friendly ports. The 'parked' ships in enemy ports was introduced in patch 1.4b

Great pics!
I was thinking the same thing, perhaps it was just too shallow for the ships to sink?

It's a bit absurd that the original poster could pop up in the middle of Liverpool harbout and blast away at a tanker with their deck gun though.

Maybe a new version of the ops mod or ht should include more shore batteries so players can't get away with that sort of thing?

A bit Absurd ? :-?

There were about 10 shore batteries on the north bank about half way in to Liverpool but as I was at PD ( broad daylight too ) they could not see me in order to shoot.

The so called "pop-up" that I did was in the middle of the night and I was on an angle that the C2 had a building in his line of sight and as long as I did not move ( to much ) he just keep shooting up that building and not even one shell came near me. ;) That was planned at PD setting still in 4 m of water from the keel.

The two T2 Tankers didn't have guns aboard. Oh they all spoted me and the sub icon turned red and their was a armed trawler on his way, but he beached it about 100 m from port. ( love some of these AI ship/boat pilots  )

But maybe someone will ( or allready has ? ) come up with a mod to suit some people whom don't believe that was posible to do and should not be done.

I've got to be cool here or J. Channing will have my head on a platter so I'll close by saying have fun on your way in to an enemy port oRGy. ;)

Oops, sorry I think I misread your post!

I'll try sneaking into ports as soon as I have my pc back up and running, don't worry about it. ;)
