im totally put off by the idea that I might pay 500 renown .. or MORE for a single torpedo.. and yet even the largest (common, T3, C3.. etc) vessles are worth... far less even on 79% realism..

ALSO i think the renown system itself is screwed... as far as I can tell... its based ONLY on tonnage... no bonus for rareness or difficulty... just weight... that is stupid considering a destroyer takes more time, money and effort to build than a C2 transport, and is thus more detremental if sunk.. but is worth.. almost nothing..

I wanna change all this, what files do i need to look for?

There are two ways. The easiest way is to change the multiplier in data\cfg\basic.cfg (ALLIED value). Setting it to "2" for example would give you twice the amount of renown for any sunken ship or downed plane.

The complicated way is to edit "RenownAwarded" of every ship in *.cfg in data\sea\<shipname>.

You can also change the torpedo prices in basic.cfg, look for TORPEDO_TYPE and edit the Renown values.

Or just say the heck with it and go to

C:\Documents and Settings\XXXX\My Documents\SH3\data\cfg\Careers\XXXX

( XXXX = your name )

open " Patrols_0.cfg " with like notepad ,and 3 lines from very bottom you'll see something like

DeltaRenown=8354.939453 ... change the number " 8354 " to whatever ..

if you stick a 4 in front of that "8354" you end up with 48354 renown ... now go on a spending spree :lol:
