I've purchased a Audigy 2 and am currently waiting for it to be delivered (because i'm lazy :) ) but anyway, i heard reports that sometimes it screws up machines i was just wondering if any one had problems with it using XP pro or whatever.
I have an Audigy 2 ZS Gamers Edition card and have personally never had any serious issues with it yet.As a matter of fact I have been quite pleased with it.The sound that comes out of it with my Altec Lansing 5.1 speakers is simply outstanding.

I have a relatively new Audigy2 card as well (about 6 months), and I'm very happy with it. No problems. I also like the way it can simulate 'real' surround sound when only using a headset. Then again the onboard soundcard could also do that to some degree, so I guess most soundcards have this feature now...
Yeah, I'm tempted to get an Audigy 2ZS to replace my onboard audio - as it would also free up some cpu time.
But anyone know what the difference is between a standard Audigy 2 and the ZS, Platinum editions etc? All seems technical garbage to me. I'd get a value one but will be doing some audio mixing/film work on the pc too so will play it safe.
I also have Audigy 2ZS and Altec Lansing speakers. But I have recently purchased a Medusa hedset, which is fantastic. They really put you into the game. The Medusa headaset is 5.1 surround sound, and the Audigy card provides a way to fine tune the sound.
