I know that if you sink neutrals you lose renown; however, I was questioning late last night whether or not sinking neutral tonnage was calculated in your patrols total tonnage sunk.

The reason I am wondering the above is that I've come by a number of passenger liners that have been neutral and honestly I'm playing the game right now with disregard to renown...all I want is tonnage in order to hit those magical 40k, 80k, and the elusive 120k tonnage marks for a single patrol. I guess you could say I crave the Iron cross with gold, nothing beats a crew that never fatigues...and no I don't want to use the fatigue mod.

So, does anyone know whether or not if sunk say exclusively 40k in neutral tonnage alone on whether or not that 40k would earn me a iron cross with gold (assuming i have the 2nd and 1st class Iron crosses that is)?

I would have to say that if neutral tonnage IS counted, it would be a bug.

Otherwise you could just sink every friendly and neutral you see and get all kinds of medals. Has the added bonus that they won't either run away from you or fire on you (well, neutrals will, once you fire on them first)

It goes against the spirit of the game, that's for sure.

I suppose you could modify the config files so that there are no neutrals..
