^topic I'm just wondering if there's any way to shorten those super-long journeys and maybe buy myself a new boat.

Change the last occurrence of the "Renown=" statement in the following 2 files:

\My Documents\SH3\data\cfg\Careers\yourCareerName\Care ers.cfg

\My Documents\SH3\data\cfg\Careers\yourCareerName\Care ers_0.cfg

I can't seem to find the cfg file. Is it under SHIII/data/Cfg...? I find cfg, but it's under SHIII/data/Menu/cfg. Is it supposed to be there instead?

Your looking in the wrong SH3 folder.

While SH3 installs to somewhere on your hard drive (default location: C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII\), it also creates an SH3 folder within Windows' "My Documents" folder.

Now look again. :yep:
