June, 1941 -

Got Rubini's TH modification and the 1.4 patch... yet after crawling over Liberian sandbanks (I'm down to 90% hull integrity) for hours, I spot in Freetown... nothing. Nothing at all, not even a fisherman.

A week around the Canaries picking up NOTHING is in itself depressive enough... but this was just horrible. Got ONE contact from BdU, and that was an American!

I had a similar experience. The only difference was that I had two merchant contacts (which I sunk), but after that, nothing. Wonder why traffic's so slow over there.

To have the balls to call this a "Busy area"! The creators of this map should be shot! Or.. at least forced to patrol this area plenty of times. BdU shall hear from me! :shifty:

I wasted my time going there twice (Freetown) and not even a fisherman. Can someone direct me to a lovely port full of life and juicy warships of course. (February 1942)

Gibraltar. Wait outside there and you'll stumble upon a task force sooner or later. :o

Some say there's a good amount of traffic around Freetown with big convoys, lightly defended but I've been there four times, spent a lot of time looking for targets and found one (1) merchant and a couple of destroyers. Save your fuel and time and head north. Then again, later at war South Atlantic is somewhat safer area, so if you do know where the lanes are, you could just kill time and hit anything/everything that comes your way.
