Yep, it would be interrsting for all of us to know a little better our nationality ... just to see if sh3 and subs interrest apply everywhere or only to a few country.

Due to forum limitation, i had to drop down my initial list of country , sorry folks

Sorry i forgot some of yours country .... there is so many of them

This poll is quite useless with only six countries in it. :) There was another poll a while ago which asked for the continents, even divided in North and South Europe and different parts of Asia, IIRC.

Well according to historians, about half of all Norwegians (meaning also millions of Americans, British etc.) relate to the viking king Harald Hårfagre (Harold Fairhair?). Isn't that so, Ula? :P Rumour has it he got around... :rotfl: He lived about a 1000 years ago, btw.

Seriously, I think I've read somewhere that if we 'count' backwards in time just a few thousand generations, there were so few people in the world that it appears we are all related... :o Meaning - I think - that the family lines have had to cross each other several times to be able to generate the number of citizens on Earth now.

So indeed we are all neighbors, and the original poll should only have 1 alternative: Earth! :88) Then again, maybe the 'bacteria' that contained the 'base' for life on Earth came with comets like the water, but we can take that in another discussion... :rotfl:

Sorry for drifting completely away from the topic. Couldn't stop myself... (counting down to a weekend of playing SH3).

Nah, stratege, the poll is ok. You can't control that you're restricted to only putting in a few countries. Why don't we all just list where we're from and maybe in your top post you can tally it up every couple of days and just make a list that you edit. More work for you, but more precise than using regions, too. Nothing against Canadians, but I'm an American, not a North American. :)

I live in little old Adelaide, in the state of South Australia.....Like my profile says...............and NO I did not vote in the poll because I am not associating myself with the USA. And anyhow it would be easier for me to get to Germany than the US. I would only have to swim short distances and use the Island Hopping method not swim across one massive expanse of water.

Norway, the part north of the Polar Circle. I`m surprised to find so many fellow countrymen here, after all we`re only 4,5 mill. But then 90% of us live by the sea. There also was a u-boat base 30km from my home and the district here is crowded with bunkers and shipwrecks from WW2. Not a surprise that u-boats and naval history is one of my hobbies.

I sincerely hope the Dutch elftal is gonna beat the German Mannschaft with football tonight.
And to be even more provocative - if the moderators allow me - I hope we're gonna beat them next year at the World Championship in their own Heimat!

Well Gizzmoe, let's first see what happens tonight and let's keep an eye on the FIFA ranking of both countries.
This news was just released today:
FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking
France fall away

(FIFA.com) 17 Aug 2005

With only 24 ‘A’ international matches having been played in the last four weeks, there are few major changes in August’s FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking. Brazil, Argentina, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Mexico and Gold Cup winners the USA continue to occupy the top six positions, but England (7th, up 1) overtake Spain (8th, no change). Due to a devaluation of past results, the French (9th, down 2) continue to lose ground and they are now in their lowest position since winning the FIFA World Cup™ in 1998.

Oops, the German Mannschaft is not even mentioned...
:P
