Plotting

Hello. I have recently installed RUB and am ready for the extra challenge of manual plotting that it includes. Sadly, I have no idea how to do it! Could anyone fill me in? Perhaps there is a guide out there somewhere. Anyway I deffinitely need to know what all those meters on the side are for, how to determine the speed and course of targets on the map, if there's any better way to mark ship positions than the generic "x." Basically anything you can tell me will help. I have started a 1939 career and am ready to learn the trade. Thanks.

There's the guide that I use. He goes through everything step by step, and its very easy to understand.

And the meters on the side you mention are probably the nomograph on the nav map. It's very easy to use and Wazoo's guide covers the use of it nicely.
