Isn't there any renown points for damaging ships?
i've hit the KG5 with 3 torps (it din't sink), evaded the attacks of 4 destroyers for couple of hours and no reward??
I beleive that in the real world such an event could made me The National Hero or something in Germany

Too Bad- Next time i hope

Welcome aboard, Spritz!

You don´t get renown for damaged ships, only real kills count.

There was a suggestion posted by CB to alter the basic.cfg file.
So the crew gets some experience after hitting a ship with a torpedo.
I can´t find his post right now, forum is a bit laggy atm.

Wish we could get something for a damaged ship.

I remember one occasion when the seas were too rough to get the crew on deck and I only had one Torp left -- which I fired at a coastal Merchant and got it smack in the running gear.

It reduced speed from 5 Knots to 0

I had the choice of sitting for hours waiting for the seas to calm
or getting back to base -- and I remember feeling that it would be nice to get sommat for damaging a vessel :o
