Some call it dedication...my girlfriend calls it crazy :D
LMFAO
Having your laptop on the forums is good
Having your map on the wall -- YES! I can see that being useful
Hydrophone amp -- yup is useful
ICQ and winamp -- yup, also good tools
But the self made Erkennungshandbuch that you cary everywhere, is the step that I think should alert the local
health authorities that you are in need of help. :rotfl: :P :rotfl:

Hey, there is nothing wrong in carrying around your personal "Erkennungshandbuch" after it took you a week to complete it. And there is also nothing wrong in using it to memorize draft and speed of every DD in the game... :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Ok, I need help. Seriously. :D

@ Lifer,
He He I love it. You've even got a flask so you don't have to waste time making a brew. :)
Nice set up there, you could get some pipes with lots of valves, dials and wheels on, so when the going gets tough you can get your girlfriend to run about shouting and turning them off as fast as she can, then perhaps some water spray for when you are in heavy seas.
Mind you I can't see the rest of the room, perhaps you already have that as well. :)
Wow! Been gone for just a few hours...thx for the great response guys (and gaaals...you know who you are  )
I did not come up with this recognition manual myself. I downloaded it somewhere...wish I could remember where. Somebody has put together a pdf file and all you need to do is print it out and get going with a pair of scissors ;-)
Uh...sorry about the mouse pad. I had the choice between Sponge Bob and this one. Go figure :D
I'm thinking about installing a few valves...might look nice together with this red lightbulb I'm using. ;-)

CCIP, you have the same mousepad as me. ;)
I will post my "U-Boot command" picture tommorow, when I get my new gfx card (I am on my sisters comp atm).

I have my computer next to the aquarium....the sounds are pretty amazing when you hear the bubbles while listening to the hydraphones. The red lights I thought of, evrything else out classes me.......................except.................I have a genuine white captains hat (of course I bought it on the "Good Ship Lollipop" docked here in Pittsburgh).......I wont mention that I put it on when I know everyone is asleep and the bedroom door is locked!
You can find printable Erkennungshandbuchs here, with a few different kinds:

Well, now I don't feel so bad. My "Control Room" continues to grow. Heck, I've just won a bid on ebay for "Aces of the Deep" just to get the Kriegsmarine nautical map that comes with it lol. I can't wait.
I do however think that the most important supply on my sub is the coffee supply. (My U-Boat has a "Coffee Pressure" Gauge :o )
CHEERS!
