Thanks everyone for the great Birthday greetings and well wishes. I well and truly appreciate it and you all. :yep: Special thanks to my buddy and yours, Eichhörnchen for posting my Birthday Thread and also for generally being a great guy and friend to everyone. :Kaleun_Salute: Eichhörnchen never forgets anyone or their birthdays.

My lady and I are going to dinner with some friends tomorrow night. I'm looking forward to a good Steak, loaded Salad and baked tater and perhaps a Mojito or two with fresh, White Rum to wash it all down with. I have been getting my Motorcycle ready for the Baldwin Michigan - Blessings of the Bikes. It's about three weeks away. The event takes place over a couple days. My Bike received some updates over the Winter months.

:Kaleun_Wink: Thanks again, everyone. I appreciate it.

Thank you, Reece. I haven't had a steak in better than a year and haven't had a Mojito in maybe ten years or better. My lady said she will drive if I have the Mojito(s). I wouldn't have them unless she drove. She has had me eating a lot more healthy over the years. More lean meats, fish, salads and the like. So, I have avoided Steaks, Hamburgers and Alcohol. We also use Air Fryers.

As far as riding with me, the answer is no. She has never ridden with me. After all, my lady is the brains of the outfit. :yep: :haha:

An older friend and Air Force Veteran and Retiree purchased a high end Indian Motorcycle a couple years ago. He recently put his Motorcycle in an Indian outfitter shop where they converted his Motorcycle into a Trike. They did a nice job. It has independent suspension in the rear. He told me at Church last week he was unsure of himself with regards to his balance. With more room in the back and a comfy wrap around seat, it was his hope his wife would join him on rides.

Happy Birthday Robert. 2 days late...but it's 2 days earlier to your next birthday :) .

I don't know much about "Blessing of the Bikes", but plenty about cursing them when they go kaput or you fall off. I've only been pillion and rarely driven? ( is that the right term ? ) My Art teacher in High School had a mate who had a Yamaha 100 ( both guys real characters :arrgh!: ) and when we'd go skindiving he'd let us fang around Swansea Heads dirt roads near the beach. Tremendous fun in only first or second gear

Getting old I think a lot about the past....you know what I mean.

This is like a "catch up"...so I'd better quit.

Hope you get to go on your Ride. You're getting warmer weather now? Glad you got Marlena in your life and lots of furry friends to keep you company....I've only got 3 young ladies ( i'm old enough to be their grandad ) Platonic friends :wah::wah::wah: but Restauraters/Chefs  good food and they're big anime fans.

Happy Birthday Mate....still drinking Cognac??

@ Eisenwurst @ mapuc. Thanks for the birthday wishes, guys. I appreciate it. :)

@ mapuc help yourself to the Cognac. I saved you a lot. You may also find Cigars too if you are so inclined. The Cake on the other hand is gone.

@Eisenwurst. The " blessings of the Bikes " is typically a get together of Motorcycle enthusiasts around this time of the year. They are held at Churches, VFW Hall's and Veteran's groups where a Pastor holds a blessing for those in attendance and their Motorcycles. Generally, they are Prayers for a safe riding season. Events like these are all over the U.S and I believe, in the U.K as well. It kicks off the riding season on a good note. :yep: It's also nice to get together with Friends.

It is getting warmer here but the weather is still a bit unpredictable. A lot of the Motorcycle Enthusiasts i know are " Hard Core " in that a short ride for them is at least two days. :haha: Some of them are already making plans to go to Sturgis, South Dakota and returns runs to Daytona Beach, Florida and other places. I have no interest or desire to go. I hardly fit in with the Sturgis crowd anyhow. I have no Tattoo's or Facial Hair and I am still sporting a short Military haircut.

I was teaching Motorcycle Safety Courses on a rotational basis but that ended during Covid. They are now being taught through 3rd party Vendors like Harley Davidson and the like if someone goes through their respective State programs. People can also apply directly to the Harley Davidson riding Academy. Who knows, I may decide to teach through Harley Davidson but I think I would have to be certified again as the curriculum has seen changes. Right now, I'm just enjoying not having the responsibilities. It was and remains very rewarding though to help others learn Motorcycle safely, defensive driving and basically, how to co-exist and stay alive with other Motor Vehicles on the road..

With regards to things here, I'm thankful for my lady and the furry friends and critters. Although, I would like to see how the other half like you lives with the beautiful ladies you know and have dinner with. :yep: Maybe in my next life, I can come back and be you. :haha:

I still have Cognac here but only rarely drink it, much like before.

Wishing you a good winter in Aussie land, Arnold and a good Spring and Summer, Markus.

Have a good one, Guys.
