Together with Joe Frazier and Muhammad Ali, we lost a boxing icon.

It always surprised me how Ali managed to knock him out in Zaire 1974.
While Foreman destroyed Frazier and Ken Norton.

Ali had trouble fighting Frazier and Norton. Those two were actually one of the 5 only boxers who managed to get a win over Ali.

Anyways Foreman was a beast. Not a real technical fighter. But pure power.

When all is said and done, Ali is the GOAT

When all is said and done, Ali is the GOAT:hmmm:...that'd still be Joe Lewis imho, the 'Brown Bomber'(66-3)! over the more colorful and outspoken Ali at(56-5). I am always distressed that all the great pugilists tend to die early though; and suffer from too many hits to the head causing dementia and CTE issues. Watching Ali courageously mount the steps to light the Olympic flame made me cringe. At least in prep-school, where boxing was mandatory, we had 14-20 oz. gloves to sften the blow but hits to the head still hurt. :timeout: At least George made more money selling BBQ's on TV than he did boxing....over $100,000,000 in the first decade alone!! I loved his ads!:yep::yeah:

In boxing, I had a lot of fear. Fear was good. But, for the first time, in the bout with Muhammad Ali, I didn't have any fear. I thought, 'This is easy. This is what I've been waiting for'. No fear at all. No nervousness. And I lost.

I named all my sons George Edward Foreman. And I tell people, 'If you're going to get hit as many times as I've been hit by Mohammad Ali, Joe Frazier, Ken Norton, Evander Holyfield - you're not going to remember many names.'

George Foreman

The man did have a sense of humor
