Random find, but I found this interesting.
To me, it always just was moonbase Alpha 1

I am stunned to learn what a complex, innovative piece of technology the building's inside is. Its much more than just the futuristic looks! I did not know that, had no clue. The inside main hall - all hanging in the air, so to speak? Wowh. Similiar things I just red about from buildings constructed much later, concert halls like Hamburg ("inside the river Elbe, so tpo speak") or Cologne (subterranean). And to have a hall with 5000 seats - but no "bad seat" neither visually nor accoustically - also remarkable.
