As the title suggests, I got a new PC. It has allround better specs than my old PC. The only real difference is that it runs Windows 11.
I tried to install War Ace Campaign. Everything works fine, the game runs and doesn't crash, but I can't get it to run in full screen. I deleted and reinstalled the game three times. And each time the game runs in full screen without crashing, but after i install the Hsie-patch the game will onyl run in a 1024x768 window. Running as admin with compatibility Win XP pack3. I have Ahnenerbe's res fix installed. I also checked the main.cfg file. It clearly says that windowed mode is disabled. Enabling windowed mode changes nothing. I'm at a loss here

I don't run the game under Windows, but since nobody else has replied....
Not sure about the res fix - is this the 1920x1080 widescreen mod? Most widescreen mods are "directx wrappers" with a hacked version of d3d9.dll in the sh3 folder. They can be configured slightly with the d3d9.ini file in the same folder. These will NOT run in a window.
If the res fix patches sh3.exe then it may be resetting compatibility mode and may be overwritten by HSie..

The HSie patch modifies sh3.exe. Has this reset the compatibility mode settings for the file? Try going into file properties and repeat the unset/set of compatibility mode AFTER the patch has been installed. I would also try installing the res fix AFTER HSie as they are probably writing to the same game data files.

Just re-read my post. Windows 10 and 11 do not like anything other than a proper installer writing to stuff anywhere under "Program Files" or "Program Files (x86)". It is recommended to install and run the game elsewhere, especially if you are modding it.
