It has long been known that this sport poses health risks to the brain that set it apart from all other sports. Neurodegenerative symptoms and the breakdown of brain tissue in former players are a well-kept secret that is no secret at all.

What is deeply disturbing is that obviously fraudulent, incompetent, manipulative studies are uncovered but not officially retracted. They stay and get referred to. I know this symptom from nutritional studies. The biggest lies, the worst nonsense are repeated endlessly, even though they were exposed years and decades ago.

Here is were negligence or incompetence ends and crime begins.

It's not Fearball,Every American Professional Athlete is driven by their own desire for fame and fortune. look it's like the soldier who goes into battle, It will not happen to me,And in the end, the professional if they make it they will have made enough money to cover all their medical bills for the future. And their families can live off their fame for 3 generations. In America if you have to take some brain damage to get to the top. It's worth it, And i would say that covers any Athlete no matter what country their from.

The average NFL carreer lasts less than three years. Most NFL players don't have anywhere close to enough money for their entire future once they leave the league, but still their bodies are permanently injured

That you find multiple holes in brains of football players, holes the size of peanuts and hazelnuts, is not rare. Usually not even heavyweight boxers can show up with that massive ammount of later brain damages. I recall to have posted a story on the medical backgrounds already ten, fifteen years ago. So, its not new.

It also not new that it gets covered and hidden. Football is a multi gold coin spectacle, the linked commercial interests are immense. The glamour and show are popular. The heroes of it replace old myths and semi-Gods of ancient narratives. This all together forms the motive, and its robust and its convincing in explaining the deed.

If I were a father and had a son, I would not allow him to play football. I would not by a mile be one of these helicopter parents who anxiously remote monitor their pupil's life, and would let him make his experiences and do even risky things - up to a certain degree - if that is what he wants: from skydiving over horse riding and mountain climbing to any sort of martial arts. But not Football. The (real but hidden) numbers speak against it. So I would not let him get the taste for it.
