Sympathetic actor, I liked watching him.


Fun fact: being especially famous for his voice (=Darth Vader), German studios gave him a very good German dubbing voice as well that matched his physical appearance and roles very well. Dubbing is standard in Germany, and probably nobody does it as well as the German studios (usually). Original sound and subtitles in foreign movies, common in many other countries, are very rarely used in Germany.

Role: Admiral James Greer

In this Cold War thriller, based on Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan book series, Jones plays Admiral James Greer, the CIA’s gruff deputy director. He helps Ryan hunt down a Soviet nuclear submarine that is fast approaching America.
