A tall, steep set of concrete steps used as the setting for a widely known Laurel & Hardy film short has been honored officially by the City Council Of Los Angeles; the steps, seen in the 1932 Oscar-winning short film The Music Box, still exist after over 90 years since the film's debut and has been a very frequent tourist stop; the film, besides winning the Oscar, was also selected by the Library of Congress for preservation in the National Film Registry...

Shortly after I first arrived in Los Angeles to live, I visited those stair with my then girlfriend; we started at the bottom of the stairs and climbed all the way up to the top; it was a blazing hot summer day and I'm pretty sure she probably hasn't forgiven me for taking her along on the climb; maybe I should have told her there's a road around back that goes to the top...

I did work for a moving company; and having deliver'd stoves, freezers, & refrigerators etc. up to third floor apartments for an appliance company out of the Teamster hall in my 20's, I can relate to this comedy.:wah: On one occasion the lady suddenly didn't like the color; so we had to re-crate it and take it back down again...:timeout::oops::dead:

I don't know which film it was but in it Ollie went into a room and accidentally destroyed every single thing in it by falling onto a table. It has to be one of the most hilarious things I've ever seen in a movie, old or new - and I wish I could've told him "ROTFLMFHO"!
