I've played SH5 a lot (TWOS) and I've never encountered this problem before.
Mare Nostrum - after a few in game weeks and a sizable kill ratio, my crew has zero morale. I've tried getting the cook on the case but apparently he's too exhausted to cook. Further kills don't seem to help either.
I'm out of torps and I'm hoping ending the mission will solve this.
Any advice would be great.

Thanks.
I'm coincidentally getting a lot of corrupted saves. Could these be related?
For me, morale is one of the most mysterious things here. I don’t know whether proximity depends on the base, I just know that everyone knows that it increase on the completion of tasks and tonnage. Once, when transferring a campaign, I only had to go from St. Nazaré to Bergen, while completing a mission. I decided not to be distracted by searching along the way and focus north of 65 degrees. As a result, morale dropped to zero, the boatswain did not save the situation, temporarily adding only 1-2 points. On the other hand, during very long patrools to Africa and Murmansk, morale did not fall below 7 (with regular support from the bosun, cook, sure).
Go the Suez canal if possible it will boost moral and engagement in further conflict from western interested..😊
now - morale has dropped to zero after successfully dodging, light damage, repairs and surfacing. Before that, the team had 3-4 moral points.
The Bosun's "emergency intervention" expired just now. Does it really work so badly that it’s better not to use it? Unfortunately, I then clicked “crew maitenance” and now I have to travel for 5 days with zero morale.
