I have never met large or small convoys, only met British torpedo boats, what year did the convoys start roaming and where are they?😁

Merchant shipping was placed under Admiralty control on 26 August 1939, and the first convoy sailed on 2 September. Four days later, the first regular series of convoys began. Convoy FS1 – standing for Forth-Southbound – was tasked with protecting the coal supply routes along Britain’s east coast.

I didnt have problem with finding convoys.
1) BdU reports them sometimes (map contact)
2) I am patrolling on convoy routes so it is usually just matter of time to hear some convoy on hydrophones:
