Buckingham Palace says the King "remains wholly positive about his treatment and looks forward to returning to full public duty as soon as possible".

Pray for his recovery. Cancer is a terrible thing.

The hideous Brit tabloids not having revealed the specific cancer; it's probably colon cancer, blessedly caught early on in the nether regions whilst dealing with kingly prostate issues; and preferable to bladder cancer. His 'expected speedy recovery' and bright outlook for returning to regal duties reflect this. His 'stepping back' from official duties during treatment will serve well too, as his regal stress level is reduced and Prince William can fill the gaps-good practice for him and his own upcoming kingship. GADZOOKS! No sooner do I post it, than the W.S.J runs an article in the paper titled: [B]King's Cancer Puts Puts Focus on Elder Son ("William to act as face of monarchy while Charles is treated"). Poor William will have his hands full being the face of the monarchy with his own spouse currently recuperating from abdominal surgery and three kids that he actively participates with, being seen as 'a present father' .

^ nothing to do with the 'hideous Brit tabloids' actually, it is the Palace and Royal Household who wish to maintain the Kings confidentiality.

...I'm still amazed the buggers haven't penetrated the palace confidentiality cloak to augment their press-profit margins!:O:...Prince Harry no longer being a likely target?!!:shucks:
