View Full Version : Game Recommendations
For those of you who like golf, I highly recommend, "The Fairway Club" on Steam. It has an excellent, innovative control system and it's relaxing and pleasant to play, even for me.
Which is odd, because in real life I don't like golf, despite being preternaturally good at it. This drives my friends who love golf crazy, causing them to say things like, "If I could play as well as you, I'd be on the links every day!" Doesn't matter. I just don't like it. I don't even own any golf gear.
Anyway, "The Fairway Club" is superb. The developer is engaged with the community and responsive. Last patch was the day before yesterday. I guess I do like golf, on the computer.
And best of all, the price. It's $1.99. You won't find more fun for under two bucks. You should check it out.
So, what have you got for recommendations?

Another good golf game is PGA Tour 2K23, which is the one I play. I host a weekly tournament in the Society I created. Looks like you've found your game, but if you ever want to branch out or play competitively in a relaxed group for fun, hit me up. New event starts tomorrow!
Game recommendations?
I could suggest dozens. But I will suggest my current favorite, which is Paradox's Europa Universalis IV, which initially released in 2013, but has undergone a massive transformation down the years. This is a grand strategy game spanning the years 1444-1821. It really is superb. Insanely variable, very challenging and tons of fun.
I can recommend this as a good game to play, but I cannot in good conscience recommend it as a good game to buy. You have to buy it on sale. Otherwise the whole thing is too expensive. They have now introduced a DLC subscription and maybe that is a good route in for some.
I've been playing for ten years now and have dropped 4000 hours, making it far and away my most-played Steam game ever. No game I have played has the sort of replyability that this one does. At times it's been a love-hate sort of thing as it evolves away from me and back again. But on balance, it is easily my top strat game of all time.

Golf you say? Golf+, the official license game of the PGA tour, in VR, with a DeadeyeVR DriVR 3 Pro or DriVR Elite golf club adapter. Real golfers say club, swinging and physics this way feel 90-95% like the real thing.
I'll definitely check out these recommendations.
Meanwhile, I just finished the first game of the first season in Franchise Mode as head coach of the Buffalo Grizzlies in, "Axis Football 2024" (American gridiron).
It was an away game. I called every play on both offense and defense, regulation quarter lengths, etc. We defeated the Nebraska Thunder 122 to 0.
I think I might need to increase the difficulty level to Pro. I kind of felt bad for administering that mauling. But just for a second or two. :har:
If you like gridiron football, "Axis Football 2024" is inexpensive and good. And it's not Madden. I recommend it. You can play or coach.
:Kaleun_Cheers:
It has been years since I swung a club-Reading about gave me a new taste for it. Thinking on buying this PGA 2k23 game via STEAM.
Game Recommendation
Well the good old ETS 2 is one of my favorite
as well the American version ATS.
Last recommendation would be
Farming Simulator 22 with expansion.

If you do pick it up and would like some multiplayer action, hit us up.
Our Society is called Duck Hook Divot Diggers Club, can search for it in the game.
We play one four-round tournament per week, and I switch the course and conditions each time. Societies allow us to compete against one another, but at your own pace. We don't have to meet up, you just play the event and the other scores show on the leaderboard. You can add the ghosts of anyone who has already played that round if you like to have some company and see how I stuck it in the lake on 15.
You have all week to finish and can stop and resume as needed. It's a lot of fun, and very friendly and casual. Recently there have just been a couple of us playing as most guys have been too busy. We'd love to have you guys join us.
Settings are pretty casual too. And 2K23 added a three-click swing in addition to the swing stick method. So it's accessible for all.

I've put it on my wish list-Are going to wait some month to see if there's any price reduction on the game. Usually there use to be now and then.

Corkscrew drive in to a stiff wind sounds perfect.
For anyone liking city builders, I would recommed Songs of Syx. It is one of those games many have probably seen, but never played. Graphically it is not much to look at, but what it lacks in that department it more than makes up for in depth and complexity. You start with 10 people, building a barely sustainable village and end up with a city that can house tens of thousands of people. The game also has combat, something like lite-Total War, and the ability to conquer neighboring cities.
You can try a free demo, which is the full game but one version behind the current stable version.

No one from here has joined us. With the game on sale the timing's never been better. New event starts Tuesday. It's free to join, you can come and go as you please, skip events if you want.
Settings are fairly forgiving, much of it is set as client-side so your personal preferences apply. A few settings are locked to make it a level playing field, but there's quite a bit of latitude too, so players of all skill levels can get their groove on.
There's a swing stick method and for 23 they have added a three-click swing method that is easier when swing timing is set to on, which it is in most societies, including ours.

I bought the game today and have tried to exercise the swing..without any luck so far. The ball only fly 10 meters or so.
Don't know what I'm doing wrong though. Thinking of skipping it and go directly to carrier.

Try three-click method. Make sure swing timing is on in the settings, because that's what we use in the society. And you don't want to get used to one way and have it all fall apart when you play in our events.
Swing stick with timing off is too easy. Swing stick with timing on is too hard. So I switched to three-click.
There is a practice range where you can go and ht balls until you've got the hang of it. There's also a calibration mode but I'm not sure what it does.
We have been using this thread for our society in case it might come in handy, just skip to the end

Under Controls, Swing Input.
I use a controller, and three-click is hold A to set the power, then you release and click at the top to set the swing path, and again at the bottom of the circular meter to set club face. It can be done with the mouse too.
Have a look at the archetypes as well, as these have some bearing on your strengths and weaknesses. I use Sculptor personally as it gives me the best control over my ball flight. But try them all and find which one suits you best.

I would also advise to wait until next week's event to join. The current course is Copperhead and there are frankly some pin positions, which combined with the slope and green speed could feel unfair. Not a great event to start off with.
Could not find it and when I press A may person in game turns to the left.
I have learned how to swing the club, however I suck in putting have played 5 holes and are on + 6
Now I'm playing some hours every day and next week I'll try to find the mp section in the game.

I play (in Golf+) ~15-20 over par per 18 hole course all the time! :03: When - on average - I do not need more than one stroke additional to the par for a hole, and keep that average over the whole round of 18, i consider it a good round. A par played makes me happy, a birdie makes me celebrating already. Never had an eagle so far.
But then, in the game's world ranking I am currently on rank 195465 :haha: with a handicap of 15.788 :haha:
I finished the course with + 17 over par.
Now I have to figure out where the multi player is.

OK, good start.
To find our society you go to Competitive>Societies and then search for Duck Hook Divot Diggers Club. It's a mouth full but I think it is funny.
Current event ends at 8 PM eastern time (US) Tuesday. New event starts when this one ends. We have a 150 entry fee (in game currency) and it's too late to change this for the next event. So if you want to join be sure to play offline a bit to earn some scratch. You'll win some of that back in the event. It's a nominal amount but we like having a money list like the pros haha
Each tournament is four rounds with seven days to get it done. Pause and resume as your schedule allows. Weather conditions, ground conditions and pin positions change each round. The game tracks statistics, standings, money list. Hope you join us and have fun. It will take some time to fit out your clubs and earn the skills that will fine tune your player. So you won't be as long off the tee at the start as we are. But it will come. We've been doing this for a few years on the bounce now so just have fun and don't worry too much about challenging for the lead at the start. Putt Preview is disabled in our events.
If anyone has finished the round you are playing you can add them as a ghost to see their shots and feel like you are sort of playing with others. All in good fun. Good luck!
This is an off topic funny input
You wouldn't believe me, I'm telling you the truth however.
I was on hole 12 a par 4 hole had just been putting for a double bogey when my NPC-player throw the putter into the wood and turned towards me and said while he pointed at me.
You're FIRED!
So now I'm searching for a new avatar who will let me control him.
End of an off topic...
Back to serious discussion
I found the society now I'm going to search for your club.

Maybe you will be the catalyst for a few more to give it a go. We have lost a few players to other interests and could use a few more!

Excellent, I hope you'll participate and have fun.
To add a ghost, on the screen where you click play or whatever takes you to the event, there is an 'add player' thing. If any of us have completed a round you can add the player here and you'll see a dot on the screen representing the other player(s) ball. Pretty cool. You can also have the other player(s) show in full, with their character and animations, but this takes a lot longer. For this you have to turn 'turn order' on. I play with just the dots so I can see how the other player(s) got on.
My putting are improving on todays course I had 11+.
For some reason unknown to me I seem to be dragged to these sandbunkers. At almost every hole I seem to hit one of these sandbunkers.
8 PM eastern time is 0200 here in Denmark- which mean my rounds start Wednesday afternoon. 8 AM eastern time approx.

If you like sandbunkers already now, you will soon love them once you start swinging the real deal .
Personally, I am convinced that many golf courses are an expression of the psychopathic-sadistic personality structure of their designers, who, with a mixture of precognitive knowledge of where balls land and a diabolical schadenfreude at the agony and suffering of their helpless, unsuspecting victims, are allowed to give unrestrained expression to their inner cruelty, which is only concealed with difficulty in everyday life, by allowing them to design golf courses, whereas in the past such suspicious characters were shackled to the walls of institutions with iron chains to protect the public from their sadistic activities.
lol...as you can put it Marc.
Ohh I'm already eager to play Golf+
Markus
Threadfin
02-27-24, 04:54 PM
Haha too true. It's interesting you talked about the designer, as that is what came to mind reading markus' post.
They're traps in both the literal and figurative sense, aren't they? Placement is influenced by several things, lay of the land, and the designer's vision of introducing risk/reward to the shot, and also as a way to punish poor play.
You have to think your way around the course. Allow for slope, make good decisions on that risk/reward thing, and use caution when it is called for, and be aggressive when you'll likely get away with it. Sometimes you should be playing to the fat part of the green, and not firing at the flag, or laying up on a par five, hitting one-iron instead of driver, and this sort of thing.
Good golf is about scoring low, but a big part of that is avoiding calamity. A bogey here and there is OK, but doubles and triples will kill your round. Sometimes you just catch a super unlucky break, or a hole is very hard, but usually these big scores are a result of gambling on the reward and getting the risk.
The putting in this game is really good. I've played every golf game I think down the years, starting with some on a 386. Very rudimentary, especially compared to 2K23. And I like this putting best of all of them. It takes practice, but you get the hang of it. A game like this is all about practice, repetition skills. The more you play the lower you'll go.
2K23 added both the skills and archetypes that we didn't have in 2K21. These will make a difference too, and if you stick with it and play a lot you'll fill these out pretty quickly.
It also did away with equipment brands giving different performance. Now all brands are just cosmetic, and performance was shifted in to the fittings mechanic. If you upgrade these over time it will make the ball go farther, more control over spin and that sort of thing, so worth pursuing. A fully upgraded driver is worth at least 30 yards off the tee as an example. That player is hitting a shorter iron in to the green and so it all cascades through the hole. Longer off the tee, shorter iron, closer approach, shorter putt. In theory anyway, so upgrade your clubs as you can.
I'll hop on tonight and play at least a couple rounds so there's a ghost if you want to use it. You have seven days to finish so go at your own pace.
I need to learn how to understand the wind arrow and the ground symbols at the green(think it is what they call the area where the hole is)
I keep on hitting the ball to much into the ruff
Markus
Threadfin
02-28-24, 08:44 AM
Yes, the green is showing break, which way it slopes and how severe the slope is. Wind is a matter of experience, knowing how much to compensate, how much more or less club to hit when taking the wind in to account. Elevation is another consideration, and you'll need to adjust as necessary.
I played the first two rounds at this week's event, Craggy Heights. This is an interesting course off the tee, and you'll need to back off on some holes, hitting 3-wood or less on some of them. Greens are tricky.
If you want to use my ghost, when you are at the screen where you go to the course you will see Add Player. Find my ghost and add to group. Then you will see an orange dot on each hole showing my ball flight.
Good luck!
Q+E change of club-But I still have the same Iron when starting from Tee- Even though I changed to Wood, it goes back to my iron.
I have used 4 hits and are around 100-150 feet from Tee
Do I have to buy my set of Clubs ??
I started on my first crusade in our society today and I don't know how to get the ball to fly longer than 150-200 yards. Or how to change club from Iron to Wood/Wedge
Markus
Threadfin
02-28-24, 10:47 AM
You don't need to buy clubs, these are just cosmetic. All clubs are equal, aside from the fittings you can change and upgrade. Shaft, grip and club head can be upgraded. This will take some time.
I use a controller, but I looked it up and Q & E are the right keys. I wouldn't know why it doesn't 'stick' as the club you are selecting. Must be a simple reason.
The difficulty settings in our league are probably different than what you were using before and that might explain some of what is going on.

Yes, the society uses Pro setting, which isn't hard, but might be a step up from your early practice. I think there is a way to see the difficulty settings on the same screen where you can add player? Check these out and mimic them in your offline play so when you hit the course in our events it will feel the same. I finished the tournament. This was a bit of an outlier, so don't look too closely at my scores haha. The conditions in the final two rounds are a little too easy, and that's on me as I set it up lol. In the third round it is raining, and the course is soft. My first two approach shots came up a little short, but that just showed how soft the greens were, and after that I started firing at the flags. Final round the wind died and honestly we need a little wind to keep things interesting.
My putter was on fire in the third round, best I've ever done. Just one of those things as I didn't do anything differently, but this time they all fell in the hole.
Hope you're getting on well with it markus. Let me know if I can help.

It's not going well in my first round I discovered that there was a setting to how you are going to play the ball - Put or smash(not the correct word I know) You make these changes using z and x.
So I did that and I changed club to the first wood-The ball came 47 yds. and it was my last shot (par 5)
Have absolutely no clue what I'm doing wrong.
If I shall play the course the first hole I would need 20-25 hits.

I don't think I could assess the problem without seeing you swing. Hopefully this is just temporary and you'll work it out. I'll help any way I can, but I'd just be guessing at this point.
Three click is hold to set power, and release (shoot for 100%)
Click at the top to set swing path
Click at the bottom to set club face
Wonder why they call it three-click
Because I use only two clicks
First click to increase power
Second to release the power
Even when I get 100-110 % power, the ball fly 90-120 yds. Using Wood 5 Hybrid. When starting from tee.
I can't get these two lines to be at 12 and 6 o'clock, mine is at 9 and 3 o'clock when the player hit the ball.

You are doing it right it seems until the 'nothing happens' part. You need to click soon after releasing at the accuracy zone at the top, and then at the bottom. It's a cadence just like you might count one, two, three. Release, click, click. Just like that. I think what is happening is you are missing the zones by so much it just results in a mis hit and that's why it isn't going far. Maybe.

Hey Now I got the hang of it.
It was after reading you latest comment who made me think...could it be...opened the game and toke some practice shots and I was thinking correctly.
First click to increase power
Second click to "stop" the first line at the top or nearby
Third click to "stop" the second line at bottom or nearby.
And of course pick the correct club.

I had a golfing buddy once who would always say that he had paid his greens fees and dammit he was going to get his money's worth! Low scores cost more he said. So your +71 is just good bang for the buck :)
Sounds like you're getting it together. Better with woods and irons now, yes? That leaves the putting. It takes time, and practice to get good at it. In your offline play you can use the Putt Preview feature to practice. We do not allow this in the society, but offline you can use it to show the line. Set it to unlimited putt preview in the settings.
When you reach the green, read it and set your marker where you think you need to. Then hit putt preview and see how far off (or on) you were.

It is also important not to create to much power when putting.

I find the default distance the putting meter has is nearly perfect in most cases, with uphill/downhill another factor to take in to account. If it is severely downhill you don't want to hit full for example. On level ground the default is nearly perfect for power when putting.
Over time you'll develop a feel for this. Sometimes you want to stroke the putt firmly in order to take some of the break out of it, ram it in the hole so to speak. Other times you want more finesse, and lag it up there, let it die near the hole. I despise three-putts so it's important to make a good first putt. I'm not always thinking of making it, especially on long and twisty lines. I just want to get it close. I often play too much break intentionally, which has the result of allowing the ball to die near the cup. Putts missed on the low side tend to run farther from the hole, all things being equal.
Golf is four distinct phases. Tee, approach, short and putting. To score well you have to get all of these things in a good place. Make the putts you should, and avoid disaster at all times by playing smart.
Ahh did so well yesterday at the Q-school had only one bogey the rest was either par or birdies ended on a 8th place.
So today with a lot of trustworthiness I entered the fourth and last round. Feeling that I would be better than 18+
Haha and LOL It went down the drain - 40-something +

Maybe because of different difficulty settings? No worries mate, you're doing fine. Not the sort of game you master in a week.

Yeah, that's the idea. Just keep trying to shoot a lower score than last time. Our scores don't matter really, and anyway, we've had a lot of practice. It's all for fun, and to play a golf game with others, in an indirect way. It's a nice balance between solo and MP, the way it works.
Indeed it is It's fun to play both solo and in MP.
Sad there's this time difference or we could play a real mp where we play together as in real life.
Edit
We could play a course on a Saturday 11 pm UK time. This would mean midnight here and 6 pm New York.

MP is fun, I've done a few rounds with others in real time. Takes a lot longer though.

Nice work in the last event mapuc, your third round was especially good. Getting the hang of it. I played the first two rounds of the current tournament at TPC Summerlin and was doing well in the first round before making triple on 17. Second round was worse and made an 8 on a par 4. Good grief.
The harder the trial the more glorious the triumph, or something.
Thanks for participating, hope you're having a good time.

Oh I do have a good time-It's fun however I'm not competing against you, but against myself.
It's still the putting I have problems with, despite having seen a lot of videos on how to put.
Which generate a question
How accurate is the greens in the game compared to the real life greens ?

Can't say with any certainty, but they look right to me. I believe they have used drone-mounted laser scanning to do the courses, but I don't know if it is for every course, and then there's a entire section of user-made courses as well. But from what I know, the 'official' courses are scanned and so should be quite accurate indeed.
If we ever play Riviera then you'll see really obnoxious greens!

About the putting.... did you try the putt preview exercise I mentioned?
In your offline play enable putt preview and set it to unlimited. Stand over your putt and read it. Then set your marker where you think it needs to be to make the putt. Hit putt preview to see how far off you were.
The more you do it the closer your estimate will be until you are draining 30 footers all over the place.
When you set the marker you can move it in four directions -- left, right, farther and closer. Do not change the distance as the game automatically does this for you. Only move straight right or left to account for the break. If it is significantly up or down hill then use the power meter to account for it. Big uphill hit a little over the power meter. Downhill hit less than the meter.
If I only knew how to activate this put preview
Searching to web gives only advise on how to activate it when using a controller I'm using mouse and keyboard.

It's under the difficulty settings. Check this video and it is shown at 2:10. Actually, it appears here in the still shot of the video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=h7wW41i1sZo
Set it to unlimited and then play the round. On controller it is hold X to run the preview, not sure what it is for keyboard but it will prompt you.

And plenty of water
I wish that this 3-click barometer wasn't so fast-The two bars who appears after I have released the left button goes fast around.
In real life it would be like place ball on wood stick then hit the ball directly no aiming.

Are you kidding? No aiming? :O:
Once you got into Golf+ and have a golf attachment club, you will immediately realise how extraordinarily complex the task is. Sports theory not for no reason says the golf swing is the most complex and difficult movement process known in sports. I am at war with it since I started playing golf half a year ago. :D
And just btw., I've pulled a muscle in my back once again. Overstretching/overrotating during the drive...
Threadfin
03-30-24, 01:30 PM
That may be true, but here we are just talking about a couple of clicks, and mapuc is struggling with the timing. Just a matter of getting that down. In this game we don't worry about ball position, stance, swing plane, transition, grip or the myriad things a real golfer contends with. Here it is just set power, click click. The rest is taken care of automatically.
I don't know if a controller would help, maybe not, but it is my preferred way to play this game.

I was pulling his leg, but for the record, he did explicitly refer to real golf when he said that in reality you do this and that and "would not aim". :03: ("In real life it would be like place ball on wood stick then hit the ball directly no aiming.") Wood stick = pin, I assume. So he refers to a drive in the real world.
Well, you must aim the drive. I know - since it gives me nothing but troubles. I spray my first shots off the tee in a 35° arc left and right off the intended target line. :-?:timeout:

Yeah, fair enough. He's frustrated I reckon and doesn't really mean this. Playing 2K23 well is just a matter of getting the swing timing down. Of course you need to properly judge all factors -- wind, elevation, lie, slope -- but primarily it comes down to hitting your marks to attain the proper distance and direction. If you cannot do this reliably it will be frustrating no doubt.
We've actually attracted a couple more new players, but there is plenty of room for more if anyone wants to check out our society come on in. TPC Sawgrass ends tomorrow and then we are off to Pinehurst #2

One thing is certain. I like to play golf - but for the most I am certainly free of talent. :D
I like to play golf it's fun I don't care I get so high score.
Yes I was a kind of frustrated not being able to click on the right time when these two bars goes around the 3-click barometer I want them to stand at
6 o'clock after my two clicks.
Sometimes I'm lucky hitting 11.20/25 or so.
Another thing that's for sure is:
Within a month from now I'm going to play more golf, which will be Golf+

I don't do VR but that's one game where I think I'd really like it. Have fun mate. In the mean time I hope you hang around with us.
The next course, Pinehurst #2 is maybe the only course in this game I have played in real life. It is diabolical, with raised and crowned greens seemingly on every hole. Just keeping your approach on the dance floor can be a challenge. A good test. See you on the back nine!

By following Skybirds VR thread I know I'm in for a treat when playing Golf+.
As long as the club exist I'm going to play my four rounds.
In real life-The only connection I ever had with real life golf was when I was working as serviceman on a golf course(Despite this I can't remember the green was uneven or diabolic in shape)This was spring and summer of -93.

I thought you had played golf for real, Markus, but I obviously recall it wrong.
You then are best advised to really watch a few videos on youtube where they talk about stand and grip and the different swings for different clubs, especially once oyu got any kind of club attachment. Else you really run the risk of getting frustrated a bit when playing Golf+ in realistic mode. What they say in lessons about real golf you can almost 1:1 use in the virtual reality. I would not have been able to correct by myself several mistakes I made, I needed that input.
Just that knowing something and physically implementing it are two different shoes... Practice, practice.... They say improving in Golf is only very slowly. I admit I must confirm that. :) My latest hobby is the excessive draw, while before it was the excessive slice... Overcompensated during the correction attempt! :D
Do you need a golf glove? No, but it is a good safety if using an attachment like the Deadeye VR stuff. You swing these clubs with great power and speed inside your appartment where there is windows, TV, glas, fragile thinngs of all sort. Imagine you swing with power and the grip escapes ypour hand! Not good. The grip already is rubber-coated and helps to hold it tight, but with the glove the grip sits in your hand like glued-in. I cannot imagine how one could accidentally loose the club when swinging it powerfully. Thats the reason I got one glove for myself and especially for my Mum - simply for increased safety. - Golf gloves must sit tight, like a second skin. Uusally it is just one glove, form the non-dominant hand.
As mentioned some page back I played golf on my computer think it was my WIN98 SE computer. That's how far back it is.
The other thing about Golf+ I put in your VR thread.

You should give the real thing a go. You might like it and find yourself a life-long hobby.
In our virtual edition, this week we are at Pinehurst, which features raised and crowned greens that present very difficult approach shots. Imprecision leads to the ball rolling off the green, and you had better bring your best chipping game. Like chipping up on to a table. A stern test indeed.
This past event at Sawgrass was our best turn out in a long time. The recruiting efforts are paying off and I hope the field continues to grow. Good luck in North Carolina this week mate!
I eagled the second hole at Pebble Beach. Managed a few birdies, too. Unfortunately, I also managed some bogies. In the end, I finished 18 at 2 under, which I thought was good for a piker like me.
I also play the EA Sports Masters title, which is also enjoyable, though I don't even want to talk about St. Andrews. The horror...the horror! :haha:
Hmm I have given up on improving my putting or getting more luck-I tell you 80 to 90 % of my putting the ball roll very close by the hole without going in. My bad luck.
Water! Don't mention water to my balls, when they see water they make a 90 degrees turn and crush into the water, the same goes with sandbunkers
I play 'cause it's fun.

Yes, 2K23. I also play EA Sports PGA Tour Road to the Masters. That's also quite good. I'm playing them on my PS5. I'd say I'm approximately average in player skill, LOL! But I do enjoy a round in between games as an NFL quarterback, or as the new Babe Ruth in MLB The Show. :haha:
I've also discovered that I like to play snooker, since acquiring a PS5. Which is unexpected, because I didn't even know how to play snooker when I got the PS5. But I read up on the rules and started playing and now I enjoy playing in tournaments a lot. I'm surprised that it hasn't caught on here in the US.
I keep the PS5 oriented to sports and still use my PC for things like submarine sims and such. It gives me things to do now that I'm feeling my age. I still go out and do ranch chores and such, just at a slower pace than I once did them.
Thanks for the invitation! I may pop round and play a few holes with you guys one of these days.

You're doing fine and I'm glad you are participating.
I don't know if I offered this advice earlier, I think I did? But there are audio cues for the clicks, and I found it helpful to think of that cadence in my head. You get the timing down that way. Release, click, click just like you'd say one two three. This reduces your reliance on 'watching' the meter and trying to nail it that way, which means you'll probably be late.
So try to get the rhythm down in your head and click to that, rather than doing it only visually. Maybe that won't help you but it worked for me.
So I opened the game to start a new round and discovered there was still 11 hrs left of Pinhurst nr. 2.
Usually I use to start a new round Wednesday afternoon or evening.
Guess it must have to be due to the mistake you made last week.
