Torpedo Misses

I am playing NYGM Enhanced and I am experiencing almost lack of success in hitting with my torpedoes. I fire at close range, check my settings on the TDC to insure they are correct. I do use assisted torpedo firing. I line up my target, I get the green curser and then fire and I almost always miss. Do you have to use manual torpedo firing with NYGM Enhanced?:hmmm:

If you are playing early war, the dismal torpedo performance can be attributed to Hsie's torpedo failure mod that is included with NYGM.


If you wish, you can go into your main menu where the SH3.exe resides, look for a file titled HsieOptionsSelector_V16C.exe, double click and it will open to the option selecter contents, and you should see that the box for "Torpedo Failure Fix" that is checked. Uncheck it and that will restore things.


Now with that in mind, this mod simulates the torpedo crisis the Kriegsmarine had at the start of the war. So if you wish to play historically you should have this item checked. All of this can be found with the documents explaining in depth Hsie's mod.

Thank you for the reply it is very helpful. I have playing FiFi's Enhanced NYGM since 2022. Is this the " Iron Coffin " edition? If not where can I get the latest edition. Thanks
