Greetings to all here. :salute: Been a long time.
I'd like to play sh5 again, and wonder if some kind soul could give me a few tips on getting Uplay to run on my Win7 computer? Here's the situation.
Old pc rarely used, but still good to go, but is still running Win7. I've always kept it on Win7 thinking I'd want to play again sometime, but that sh5 won't run on Win10/11 (could be wrong, don't know).
I last played for a while maybe 2-3 years ago; at that point Uplay was still working on the pc, no problem.
From what I've read now, versions of Uplay since April 2014, 2023, haven't supported Win7.
I followed a workaround and dl'd a prior version of Uplay and tweaked a text file to fool it into thinking it's running a more recent version.
That let's Uplay start up, but the first thing Uplay does is to update itself, and then it won't run.
Does anyone have any suggestions/guidance?
Thanks,
Bert

forget about uplay.
ubi abandoned that a few years ago, while you were away.
the replacement is Ubisoft Connect or Uconnect. it is available for free at Ubisoft however i cannot find the link.

Unfortunately, UConnect is no longer compatible with Windows 7 - designed obsolescence...

Back at ya.
I guess if I boil it down, my questions are:
Can I get Uconnect to run somehow with Win7; see my first post. I know current versions are incompatible; I've been trying to run earlier versions, but the update thing is messing it up.
If that's not possible, will sh5 run on Win10/11?

sh5 will definitely run on Win10 using Uconnect.

I've updated to Win 10 and downloaded Uconnect. It's been awhile since I played SH5. My problem is when I go to the game on Uconnect it say's 'download game' and that's it. I have the full install plus WOS on my E drive.
How do I connect this to Uconnect?
Thanks.
