Hello SubSim, i need some assistance on deleting the glare inside the command room of my fleetboat and im here because i dont know how.

okay so im trying to play FotRS with my Tambor class boat but for some reason the lights glare on glass is bugged or broken and makes it appear black and unable to see trough. eg: https://imgur.com/a/Oeu6Trs

at first i thought it was the Tambor that was broken in general because on my first playthrough i used a Narwhal and the command room glare was fine and i could see every gauge clearly on her. but playing Tambor shows up black, and i found out it was the glass because i moved around the room and phasing the camera behind the depth gauges shows them looking just fine and dandy under the pitch black glass. again as you can see here: https://imgur.com/a/HKQXEbS

if anyone else has experienced this i would like to hear your experiences or even better a FIX for it! but i dont mind much so far the good ol Narwhal has been fun to play with and she hasn't failed me yet. im gonna stick with the V boats for now

There is something amiss in your mod activation. First things first, open JSGME, and in its middle gutter is "Tasks...". Click on that and then choose the "Export activated mods list to -->". From that, choose either, but "Clipboard" would allow you to "paste" the list directly into your next posting here. You could also choose "Text file", and then copy and paste that here. That will let us know what order you have your mods in. Second thing, after you activated your mods, did you then empty the Save folder, usually found in "C:\Users \UserName \Documents \SH4"? If you did not do that, or use MultiSH4 to create a new Save folder, then you probably have a mix of the modded game, and the old configuration you had before applying the mods. Thirdly, the JSGME list will show it, but what is the "path" to your modded game install? ie: What drive and folder is the game installed in? Thanks. :salute:

Im sorry i actually found a fix for it and other things thats been bugging me but i didn't found game changing.
after posting this i took a long shower and thought of what i might be missing and stayed up all night searching trough threads until i found one with the similar problem. all i needed was a 4G patch! i know SH3 needed it but not SH4 also. i put it on the .exe and it fixed the glare/lighting inside the sub and other things like a weird crash when loading it and missing terrain around pearl harbor when spawning.

i was trying to delete the thread so there is no confusing but if im being honest i dont know how to navigate on a website that was 7 years old when i was born :o

Ah-haa!!! I have not ever seen that happen without it, because you usually crash in FotRSU without it... :D - glad you got it going

btw, the site does show its age in that regard, but you can delete the text of your message, just not the actual post. A site moderator can do that, though it is probably a bit of a bother. Besides, others can use the info you supplied here!
:yeah:

hey JohnsAviation greetings...
I already had this type of problem at the start of my training here...
But not on FoTRSU...in my memory it was on RFB2.0 because I used interiors different from the basic ones, they were Vickers interiors..
but these were recommended for TMO..
I had this kind of appearance but not on all the gauges...
I recommend a fresh install, do not use mods that are not intended for FoTRSU
are you on Nvidia? or AmD...if you are Nvidia pay attention to the Anisotropic filter settings besides I think you are Nvidia the problem strongly resembles it...
can we have your list of mods..??
