No Skin on Sub after Reload

After a save and reload the skin is gone from my sub, except where it is underwater. My game is 100% stock and I reverified the files (Ubi Version).... I searched but my Goole Fu has failed me.

Hey there - long time lurker that finally jumped to SH5.. I had hoped for better than what I am experiencing!

I suppose this is hard-coded bug. Even with TWoS megamod after all these years the problem with missing skin after reload the save gamefile happens all the time. If you want to see your skin you have to load the save-file one more time or reboot the game.

I tried the reload with different saves and nothing.. no skin. A new problem has now occurred. The game will freeze and become unresponsive after about 2 minutes. No errors or crash windows.. I have removed and reinstalled and I scrubbed the registry (Engineer for 25 years).

It is bone stock running in native mode... super frustrating!! I will play with compatibility settings and see what gives... Missing with graphic settings does nothing for the skin issue.. pretty lame
