View Full Version : Trying to get range using Hydrophone in Silent Hunter 5

So I was messing around with SH5 with Wolves of Steel mod. And I think unlike SH3 where you could buy a sonar so you can ping targets and get their range while submerged. I don't believe you can do that in SH5. Am I missing something ?

No sonar until it is jnstalled late war afaik that being said, in the maps section (toggle charts visibility) there is a general image, Other charts and tables section, hydrophone &GRT image which explains range according to what you actually hear.

Thank you is this something you purchase or does it come with a later U-Boat? How do you use it is there a hot key or something I’m supposed to press ?
