Hi

I am wanting to set up a nice modpack for SH4 with the Japanese subs, but I am not sure which exact combinations are recommendet with it, including the IJN themed campaign.

keltos01 and Peabody did Jyunsen B mod (https://www.subsim.com/radioroom/downloads.php?do=file&id=4936), and Cybermat47 fixed up Japanese Career (https://www.subsim.com/radioroom/downloads.php?do=file&id=4554). There is also [WIP] Japanese Campaign (https://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?p=942482#post942482), which has been languishing and lamenting the completion of FotRSU, but will hopefully get a re-kick-start in a few weeks/months... :roll:

Do a "search" (google duckduckgo brave whatever) on "site:subsim.com/radioroom Japanese" (no quote marks, of course), and you should find quite a few hits. One fellow just did a Japanese music add-in not too long ago, another fellow was working on uniforms, and there are other things you can add-in, though be careful of your "dates" and what gets overwritten by other mods besides the first two listed. :salute:

I am also wondering regarding mods that visually improve the game, but not too sure what is recommended, would love to know!

Also forgot to mention, I saw the japanese campaign is also compatible with FOTRS ? (really need to do an proper playthrough for the USN with FOTRS soon)

The FOTRS referred to there is the original Fall of the Rising Sun mod from the AOTD_MadMax modding team. That would most likely only be for the v1.2 and v1.3 of the mod. Version 2 is an SH4 v1.4 only mod. The current FotRSU (Fall of the Rising Sun Ultimate) mod is an updated FOTRS mod, combining all of the various versions the AOTD_MadMax team did, with even more, "modern" content added. There are quite a few changes in the FotRSU mod that renders it incompatible with most other mods, mostly due to ship and airplane calls. :salute:
