I think this one is a home made diecast.

No, it's resin or some kind of and who was selling had other "gun/canon" scenes. There was a napoleonic scene, late medieval, XVII century and can not remember more.
May be part of some collection.

Yes, I already collect some acrylic spares from work to glue and do a cover for it.

Neat find! I saw this nautilus book nook diorama being advertised on facebook the other day, and if I wasn't trying to get rid of everything I think I'd have pulled the trigger. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/booknook-nautilus--295900638030103008/
The one figure in your diorama looks a little like Cavendish from "The Great Escape"
