The actor passed away following a lengthy and private battle with cancer.

I remember enjoying his show "playhouse" quite a lot when i was a kid in 1986-87

RIP

Paul Reubens created his character Pee Wee Herman in the mid 1970's while performing with the Los Angeles troupe The Groundlings
