Hello,

I have a question regarding a potential issue with the animation of torpedo doors on U-boats.

In the game Silent Hunter III, the sequence of torpedo door operation is divided into two distinct stages: the bow door opens first, and once that's complete, the muzzle door opens.

However, evidence suggests that in reality, both doors should open simultaneously. This is evidenced by:

Just delete the Door2 animation chunks with S3D if you want that.

Correct, all interconnected. The video has it right. Here is a top down schematic of the mechanism on a VIIC. Cranking the handle to open the bow cap pushed shaft #8, which actuated the leverage to open the bow cap (#1), which pulled the outer protective cap out of the way via #s 34, 35, and 36.
