Custom emblems not appearing

Hello, first post here, I'm playing SH3 (with GWX) and I tried adding some custom emblems but they are not appearing in game. I put them under data\Emblems\SubEmblems with the rest of them and it is a .tga file but it doesn't appear in the campaign menu. The other existing emblems do not appear either and the only one I can use is the snorting bull emblem. Can anyone lend a hand? Thanks in advance.

Guessing you probably haven't earned enough renown in the campaign as of yet. Eventually more emblems become available as you progress, but at the start you only have the flotilla emblem (7th Flotilla in this case). A quick thing you could try is to rename your custom emblem file the same as the snorting bull, after making a backup of it.

It's odd because it all of a sudden worked again and then today it stopped working again despite the fact I have more renown than before when it was working, how odd.
