Gordon Lighttfoot with the rich Baritone voice has passed away. Gordon was known for his often easy going and evocative songs. Gordon's songs and voice was instantly identifiable. Gordon wrote many great songs, one better than the next and everyone has a favorite. Gordon had a gift for creating tonal landscape and pictures. His lyrics and phrasing was just as complex, meaningful and haunting.

" Does anyone know where the love of God goes, when the waves turn the minutes to hours ? " ( The wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald )

Rest in peace Gordon and thanks for the great music and stopping by for an all too short while.

I once realized Gordon Lightfoot was going to play a show near me in 90 mins, realized how much I loved his music, and I went on impulse and don't regret it in the least.

First time I ever heard "that song" I was with my brother on the way to a boat show in Orlando. I'd ring that bell once for him too if I could.

I used to think this song was a Gordon Lightfoot tune. The lead singer sounds just like him.
