need help with install

I just bought SH 3 and tried to install it on my w10 computer. It wouldn't install. It told me I needed to run it on an earlier version of W. I tried all the compatibility modes with no luck. Does anyone have any ideas?
BTW: I've played most of the subsim games since "Gato". :-)

steam or CALL RAD COMPUTERS 480 252 2114. I tried to install it with the desk it was a disaster everything I try did not work. So I paid steam to download it and paid rad computers,MARK BUSH to install the gray wolves improvements. I was not happy that I had to buy the -game I already have and paid rad computers . The game runs without a hitch . I'm on my third campaign and still alive. MARK BUSH get the game to run .my operating system is Windows 10.i I don't like steam monitoring my game time,https://subsim.com/radioroom/images/icons/icon8.png
