I saw the video this morning, seems like lot of thrust set in at the rear shortly after it touched the ground.
Glad to hear the pilot is safe.
Maybe it just got an unwanted Microsoft (tm for turdmark) update in the wrong moment, like it happens all the time and everywhere :shifty:

OK pilot, that will be $78,000,000. Would you be interested in our automatic payroll deduction plan?

Whoa...t ??? Germany will pay ~3.5 times as much for theirs - and those have not even vertical capability.

Seems the airframe is intact so the problem can be figured out. The bounce looked unintentional and then the front thrust seemed to shut off trying to settle, or maybe the rear thrust didn't shut off instead.

And still beats the crap out of anything China or Russia can field. You should be happy.

Good ejection.
Saw the video and it was a hot topic of conversation among my peers and I for a few days. We all came to the conclusion that (from the viewing angle) it was a good punch and glad the pilot is okay.
Argument can be made for emergency engine shutdown but personally if it appeared that I was going to run off into the grass...which is an assumption that seems fairly safe to make....I would have punched out too. :salute:
Thanks Martin-Baker
